Buses in Thailand
Buses in Thailand are mostly operated by the State owned Transport Company (Bor Kor Sor) but there are also private companies some of which offer top end comfort for a little bit more expensive price. In almost every town there is a terminal bus station with buses arriving and departing every minute.
Intercity buses in Thailand are generally two types.
Orange buses /ordinary or sometimes known as provincial bus/ cover whole Thailand. They are owned by the Transport Company. Usually because of the lower price they are crowded and unconvenient for long journeys, most of them don’t have air conditioning. In addition, they stop very often.
Blue buses /air conditioned/ are mostly operated by private companies. They serve a variety of comfort and prices. In First Class and VIP buses in Thailand you are offered free food, drinks, blankets, toilet, TV, music, seat can be transformed in a bed and others.
