Traditions and Customs

Thailand is very rich and colorful when speaking about traditions and customs. The bases of Thailand’s traditions and customs are the family and Buddhist temple /or “wat”/.

In the family the young are taught to pay respect to elders, parents, teachers and Buddhist monks. Following this strict hierarchy it results in highly educated and perfectly structured society and national unity.Buddhist temple which is the center of the village provides people with education. Thai people attend ceremonies and rituals, festivals and others. You can find about 30,000 temples in Thailand which for sure shows their importance in Thai life.
