Constitution Day
Constitution Day is celebrated on 10th of December and it has a fixed date. This date is dedicated to the first constitution which was accepted in December 10th 1932 when Thailand has become a democratic republic. Before the year 1932 the Thai government was an absolute monarchy but after that Thailand’s government has transformed into constitutional monarchy.
Although the power of the King was decreased all constitutions recognize the King as the Head of the Army, Head of State and Upholder of all religions. On Constitution Day all Thai people express their gratitude to the King.
