New Year

Thailand actually celebrates three New years – the usual one which is celebrated throughout the world on January 1st, the Chinese New Year and Thai New Year. As everywhere else around the globe, in the big cities people gather together in the center and countdown until midnight. Nothing special in this holiday. This classical New Year is however not like the traditional Thai New Year or “Songkran”.
